The Venue N Line will be available only with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired to a DCT automatic gearbox.

After introducing the i20 N Line last year in the Indian market, Hyundai will now launch the Venue N Line on September 6. The N Line will be the range-topper in the Venue line-up and as a sportier version of the standard model, it will feature cosmetic upgrades and is likely to receive tweaks to the suspension and exhaust.

Hyundai Venue N Line: engine, powertrain and trims

The Venue N Line will come only with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and unlike the i20 N Line, which gets both iMT and DCT options, it will only be available with the DCT gearbox. As we had reported earlier, the Venue N Line will come in two trims – N6 and N8. As far as the mechanicals go, the Venue N Line is unlikely to be very different from the standard model, but like the i20 N Line, Hyundai could tweak the suspension and exhaust for a sportier set-up.

Hyundai Venue N Line: exterior, interiors and equipment

The Venue N Line is expected to get ‘N Line’ badging on the front fender, along with new front and rear bumpers, red accents on the lower sections, red inserts on the roof rails, a new design for the alloy wheels, and a dual-tip exhaust.

On the inside, the Venue N Line is likely to carry forward the same design and layout as the current model. However, Hyundai could introduce an all-black interior theme with red accents and inclusion of ‘N’ logos in the cabin, just like other N Line models.

The higher N8 trim will reflect the features of the top-spec standard Venue and could come with equipment like an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, powered driver’s seat, LED projector and cornering headlamps and a Bose sound system.

Spec to spec, the Venue N Line is expected to be about Rs 1 lakh-1.5 lakh more expensive than the standard model. When launched, the Venue N Line will be a more driver-focused alternative in the compact SUV segment that comprises models like the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
